Welcome to the Official Town of Prospect Web Page. Prospect was established in 1827 and is surrounded by Bethany, Waterbury, Cheshire, and Naugatuck. The town is 5 miles long and 4 miles wide with a population of approximately 9,717 as of the year 2017.

Town of Prospect buildings and facilities have re-opened as of Monday, May 3rd.  Not all services and activities are being offered, so please contact the specific building and department you are planning to visit to ensure you are aware of any re-opening restrictions.
Employees and visitors will be asked to sign in into each building to ensure continuing prevention of any possible spread of the COVID-19 virus.  Employees will be happy to help anyone that needs assistance to sign in.  Masks must be work in all town buildings and social distancing is encouraged as much as possible.  Restrictions may vary in buildings dependent on the level and type of activities being held.
